A bit about me: I’m Steve Wood, former UK Deputy Information Commissioner and Chair of the OECD Working Party on Data Governance and Privacy. I founded PrivacyX Consulting in April 2022 to advise and support clients with strategy and policy related to data protection, online safety and digital regulation. Launched in July 2023 the PrivacyX Consulting substack will digest and analyse selected key issues related to data protection or digital regulation, including AI. I’ll give my perspective on regulation and policy, and digest other key pieces of analysis and research that are driving the issues I’ve read about in the last fortnight.
